Caroline Jean Christian- Madagascar Tour Guide and Tourism Expert

Christian Jean Caroline is a highly experienced Madagascar tour guide and tourism professional with more than 15 years of experience guiding travelers across Madagascar. Since 2010, he has worked as a National Tour Leader and Professional Guide, organizing and leading cultural, wildlife, and adventure tours throughout the island.

Fluent in six international languages; French, English, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and German. Christian is able to guide from around the world and provite authentic local insights into Madagascar’s biodiversity, culture, and traditions. Over the years, he has also played a key leadership role in the tourism industry in Atsinanana Region, particularly Toamasina

From 2016 to 2019, he served as President of the Regional Federation of Tourist Guides, representing professional guides and helping strengthen the quality of guiding services in the region.
From 2020 to 2023, he was elected President of the Tour Operators Association of Atsinanana, where he worked closely with travel professionals to promote the region as an important destination for international travelers.

During the same period (2020–2023), he also served as Treasurer of the Regional Tourism Office, contributing to tourism promotion and development strategies.
In 2024, Christian was elected President of the Board of Directors of the Regional Tourism Office of Toamasina, a mandate that continues until 2027, where he represents tourism stakeholders and supports sustainable tourism development in eastern Madagascar.
Christian is also passionate about training the next generation of tourism professionals. Since 2015, he has trained many young Malagasy to become professional tour guides. In 2018, he founded Zamilane Tourism Institute, a tourism and hospitality school dedicated to sharing practical experience and developing skilled professionals for Madagascar’s tourism industry.
