Day 1 – Antananarivo to Andasibe
After breakfast, departure from Antananarivo toward the eastern rainforest along the famous RN2 road, which connects the capital to the port city of Toamasina.
After about 75 km, stop at Peyrieras Exotic Reserve, where visitors can observe chameleons, frogs, insects, butterflies, and reptiles up close.
Continue the journey to Andasibe, one of Madagascar’s best rainforest destinations for wildlife observation.

Day 2 – Andasibe National Park
Today is dedicated to exploring Andasibe-Mantadia National Park, one of Madagascar’s most accessible rainforest reserves.
The park is famous for the Indri Indri, the largest lemur species, whose powerful calls echo through the forest.
Wildlife that may be seen includes:
- Sifaka lemurs
• Bamboo lemurs
• Chameleons
• Colorful frogs
• Endemic birds
In the afternoon, visit Lemur Island, where several lemur species live freely.
Continue to Vakona Private Reserve to observe crocodiles, birds, and reptiles.

Day 3 – Andasibe to Antsirabe
After breakfast, departure toward Antsirabe, traveling via RN2 before joining the famous RN7, Madagascar’s main tourism route.
On the way, visit a local workshop producing traditional Malagasy handicrafts made from recycled aluminum.
Continue through the scenic landscapes of the Malagasy Highlands, passing rice terraces, small villages, and agricultural fields.

Day 4 – Antsirabe to Ranomafana
Morning visit in Antsirabe, including:
- visit to a zebu horn handicraft workshop
• a pousse-pousse city tour
• discovery of the town’s historic colonial avenue
Continue south toward Ranomafana National Park.
Stop in Ambositra, famous for its traditional wood carving and Zafimaniry craftsmanship, if time allows.
Arrival in Ranomafana in the late afternoon.

Day 5 – Ranomafana National Park
After breakfast, explore the tropical rainforest of Ranomafana National Park, one of Madagascar’s most important biodiversity reserves.
The park hosts several species of lemurs, including:
- Golden bamboo lemur
• Red-bellied lemur
• Milne-Edwards sifaka
You may also encounter rare birds, reptiles, and fascinating insects such as the giraffe weevil, one of Madagascar’s most unusual species.

Day 6 – Ranomafana to Ambalavao
After breakfast, continue south through changing landscapes as the rainforest slowly gives way to drier regions.
Arrival in Ambalavao, a town known for its traditional Malagasy culture and handicrafts.
Optional visit to the famous Antemoro paper workshop, where handmade paper is produced using ancient techniques.

Day 7 – Ambalavao to Ranohira
Morning visit to Anja Community Reserve, famous for its population of ring-tailed lemurs (Lemur catta).
The reserve is managed by the local community, who guide visitors through the forest to observe lemurs in their natural habitat.
Continue to Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park.
Dinner and overnight: H1 Hotel
Day 8 – Isalo National Park
A full day exploring the spectacular Isalo National Park, known for its dramatic sandstone canyons and unique desert-like landscapes.

Continue about 30 km north of Tuléar to reach Mangily (Ifaty).
Arrival in the late afternoon.

Day 10 – Mangily / Ifaty
Morning visit to the famous spiny forest, a unique ecosystem found only in southern Madagascar.
