The Malagasy people are smiling and welcoming. The wild animals are not all as dangerous as in Africa. You need time to visit Madagascar.  But if you don’t have enough time to devote to the green city, you should know that there are some must-sees. Here’s what you need to see in Madagascar

Travel to see the Baobab of Madagascar

They say Madagascar doesn’t have a palace, but its biodiversity is 5-star. We don’t have an Eiffel Tower, but our tallest Baobab tree is over 30 metres high. It’s enough for us to raise our heads to look up there like you Eiffel Tower lovers do when you’re on your feet. Which country in the world has more than two species of Baobab? Africa has only one species, Australia has only one species and we, Madagascar our dear island has 06 species of Baobabs. The Baobab avenue in Morondava is the best place to admire this gigantic plant, the island’s emblem. Not only in Morondava, the west coast from Cap Sainte-Marie in the south to Diego in the north. There are many forms of Baobab:

Tsingy de Bemaraha

Tsingy de Bemaraha: Don’t leave out this when you travel to Madagascar

The Tsingy de Bemaraha is around 910 km from the capital Antananarivo, Madagascar. It’s a must-see tourist destination for nature and adventure lovers, combining discovery, physical challenge and wonder at the raw beauty of Madagascan nature. It is accessible from May to the end of November.

The Tsingy de Bemaraha is one of Madagascar’s most spectacular natural sites, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a reserve and, at the same time, a national park managed by Madagascar National Parc. This unique limestone massif is known for its sharp rock formations, similar to stone cathedrals, creating a landscape that is both fascinating and inhospitable.

The Tsingy, which means ‘to walk on tiptoe’ in Malagasy, are home to exceptional biodiversity, including many endemic species. Exploring this labyrinth of rocks reveals deep canyons, hidden caves and lush vegetation that contrasts with the rugged landscape. Suspension bridges offer breathtaking views of the karst formations, while trails allow visitors to venture deep into this surreal setting.

Madagascar's national parks: Important site. To visit when you travel to Madagascar

Madagascar currently has 19 national parks. They are natural treasures that are home to a biodiversity that is unique in the world, with many species of plants and animals found nowhere else. Among these parks, Parc Isalo, Ranomafana and Parc Andasibe are the most visited because they are accessible to everyone all year round. Isalo, in the south of Madagascar, is known for its spectacular scenery of canyons, natural pools and rock formations sculpted by erosion. Isalo is also home to many endemic species, including lemurs, birds and succulent plants. And Andasibe Park is home to Madagascar’s largest lemur, the Indri indri. Parc Ranomafana is to the east of Fianarantsoa, off the RN25 road. It is rich in biodiversity.
