17 km north of the largest port in the city of Toamasina lies an endless island called Île aux Prunes. A deserted island devoid of human habitation but rich in biodiversity. Generally, the journey takes 45 minutes one way and 1 hour and 15 minutes on the return trip.
Upon arrival at the island, there is only one passage, which is often rough due to waves and wind. Therefore, caution is essential.
