Day 1: Flight from Antananarivo to Fort Dauphin
• Transfer to Ivato Airport for a domestic flight to Fort Dauphin. Upon arrival, visit the Fort-Flacourt Museum to discover the local history. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Kaleta.
Day 2: Nahampoana Reserve
• Explore the Nahampoana Reserve, known for its endemic flora and fauna, especially lemurs. In the afternoon, relax at the white sandy beach of Libanona.
Day 3: Lokaro Bay
• Excursion to Lokaro Bay, accessible by car or boat, renowned for its coves and beaches. Enjoy local seafood prepared on-site by the community. Return to your hotel in town.
Day 4: Berenty Reserve
• Drive to Berenty, famous for its sisal plantations and its reserve, where you can observe different species of lemurs. A night visit will allow you to spot the grey mouse lemur (Microcebus murinus). Overnight at Berenty Lodge.
Day 5: Berenty – Lavanono
• Daytime visit to Berenty Reserve, then depart for Lavanono, a small fishing village located in the extreme southwest of Madagascar. Overnight at Tea Longo Hotel.
Day 6: Cap Sainte-Marie
• Excursion to Cap Sainte-Marie, the southernmost point of Madagascar where the Indian Ocean meets the Mozambique Channel. Return to Lavanono.
Day 7: Lavanono – Itampolo
• Travel day to the village of Itampolo. Dinner and overnight at Chez Nany Hotel.
Day 8: Itampolo – Ambola
• Continue to Ambola, home to the Vezo people, known as nomads of the sea. Discover their traditional way of life. Overnight at Domaine d’Ambola.
Day 9: Tsimanampetsotsa National Park
• Explore the park, famous for its endemic biodiversity: birds, lemurs, tortoises, and vegetation adapted to the arid climate. Overnight at Lalandaka Hotel in Anakao.
Day 10: Relaxation in Anakao
• Free day on the paradisiacal beaches of Anakao, with an optional excursion to Nosy Ve, a nearby island. Overnight at Lalandaka Hotel.
Day 11: Anakao – Tuléar – Isalo
• Boat transfer to Tuléar, then drive to Ranohira, the gateway to Isalo National Park. Overnight at H1 Hotel.
Day 12: Isalo National Park
• Explore the park, known for its sandstone formations, natural pools, and canyons. End the day at the “Isalo Window” for a beautiful sunset view.
Day 13: Isalo – Ambositra
• A long day of driving to reach Ambositra, renowned for its woodcraft artisanship. Overnight with a local artisan family.
Day 14: Ambositra – Antananarivo
• Return to the capital, with several stops to enjoy the scenic landscapes. Overnight at Chalet des Roses.
Day 15: Antananarivo
• Free day for shopping and preparing for departure. Option to visit the artisanal market for souvenir shopping.
