Madagascar is one of the 17 «megadiverse» countries, thanks to its strong biodiversity; it represents in the very selective list of megadiverse countries. The majority of species of fauna and flora are almost all endemic.
Antananarivo – Antsirabe – Miandrivazo – Morondava
This tour takes us to discover the flora of Madagascar, which is one of the richest flora in the world. It is estimated that there are between 13,000 and 14,000 species, 80% of which are endemic. Among the fourteen thousand species of plants, we note the BAOBAB species.
Out of the 8 species of baobab trees existing in the world, 7 species are grown in Madagascar, 6 of which are endemic. These are Adansonia grandidieri, A. rubrostipa, A. za, A. madagascariensis, A. perrieri and A. suarezensis. The species A. digitata is well represented in western Madagascar, it is common with Africa.

Day 1: Welcome to Antananarivo
Arrive at the airport of Ivato Antananarivo!!!
We the «teams of zamilane tours» welcome you here in Madagascar or as we say at home «TONGA SOA E!
So, when you arrive at the airport your guide is waiting for you. He will pick you up and drop you directly at your hotel so that you can quickly rest quietly in your own room.

Day 2: Antananarivo – Antsirabe
Around 8:30 am after breakfast, meet your guide and brief to start the adventure. Then departure for the first spa town of Madagascar or the water city by the famous national road 7 or RN 7 which is decorated by the fields and villages of the Merina peoples. You will cross the Ankaratra mountain range which reaches about 2643m altitude . After a few hours we arrive in the city of ambatolampy that allows us to visit the workshop of foundries and forge-decoration and kitchen utensils. The adventure continues, we will reach the town of Antsirbe 100km from Ambatolampy
Lunch along the way! After lunch, we will go to discover the city to know its history, its people, and especially visit some workshops of handicrafts.

Day 3: Antsirabe- Miandrivazo
We leave the city of Antsirabe passing Betafo (former capital of Antsirabe) to join the city of Miandrivazo. Miandrivazo is a gateway to the west coast of the Island and also the starting point for those who make the Tsiribihina descent.
Overnight stay
Day 4: Miandrivazo – Morondava
From Miandrivazo to Morondava the landscape changes every kilometer. Green rice fields, birds, zebus, coconut trees, the first pass before your eyes to your destination. You will pass to Ankilizato, a village where the local population plants rice more than twice thanks to the access of water to irrigate their fields.
Day 5: Morondava
In the morning, we take you to visit the mangrove forest and we show you the fishing village to see how fishermen live their daily lives. In the afternoon, it is a special moment because we will see the big baobabs that grow next to each other: this is the famous ‘the baobab alley.
Before sunset, we take you to see the famous baobabs lovers not far from the avenue. Then, we return to the alley of baobabs to wait for the sunset that crosses through these beautiful Baobabs.

Day 6: Morondava – Antsirabe
Return to Antsirabe. Departure early in the morning to be at Antsirabe around 5 pm.
Day 7: Antsirabe – Antananarivo
Return to Antananarivo capital. You can stop occasionally at the returns because in the alley, the landscape changes and it may be that you would find what you did not notice in the alley.
Day 8: Antananarivo- airport
Transfer to the airport
