Day 1: Antananarivo – Andasibe
Don’t want to stay in Antananarivo and looking for an activity during a few days of freedom? Why not come to Ankanin’ny Nofy (the “dream nest”)?
The first step of the itinerary is to leave the capital and head to Andasibe. After 75 kilometers, we will visit a small reptile and insect reserve called Peyrieras. You will find dozens of chameleons, leaf-tailed geckos, amphibians, snakes, etc.
After the visit, we will continue our journey eastward to Andasibe.

Day 2: Andasibe
When we talk about Andasibe, we immediately think of the park, the lemurs, and other endemic animals of this forest.
In the morning, visit the Analamazaotra Park, known for the presence of lemurs from the Indriidae family: the indri-indri, sifaka, etc. This park is rich in both fauna and flora.
In the afternoon, visit the Vakona Reserve, famous for its brown lemurs, bamboo lemurs, ring-tailed lemurs, and makis. These are lemurs that won’t hesitate to jump onto your shoulders!

Day 3: Andasibe – Ankanin’ny Nofy
We will leave Andasibe to reach the Pangalanes Canal. The Pangalanes Canal is a waterway located on the east coast of Madagascar, stretching from Toamasina to Mananjary. It covers about 700 kilometers along the coast, parallel to the Indian Ocean. This network consists of interconnected lakes, lagoons, rivers, and natural canals. Developed during the colonial era, it facilitated the transport of goods and passengers by bypassing natural obstacles such as coral reefs and estuaries.
Upon arrival at the canal, transfer to Ankanin’ny Nofy, about 20 km away.

Day 4: Ankanin’ny Nofy
In the morning, it’s time for a lemur encounter! This half-day visit will allow you to approach and observe them in the Palmarium Reserve. It’s an ideal spot to see Madagascar’s largest lemur, known as the indri-indri.
As the name suggests, this reserve is home to hundreds of palm trees and other endemic plants, including the famous carnivorous plant.
After observing the largest diurnal lemur, which weighs about 10 kg, we will take you to see the largest nocturnal lemur, the aye-aye.

Day 5: Ankanin’ny Nofy – Antananarivo
Return to Antananarivo after having spent a pleasant stay in this “dream nest.”
